How many days at Iguazu Falls?
Published Wednesday, November 6th 2024For a visit to Iguassu Falls, most travelers find that two to three days is ideal. Here's a suggested breakdown:
-
Day 1: Explore the Brazilian side of the falls, which offers a panoramic view of the falls. This side has well-laid-out walkways and viewpoints that let you take in the grandeur of the falls in a more condensed experience. A visit typically takes half a day, so you can spend the rest of the day exploring nearby attractions or relaxing.
-
Day 2: Dedicate this day to the Argentinian side, where you can get up close to the falls. This side has more extensive trails and platforms, providing immersive views of the falls from above, below, and even within the spray. You can easily spend a full day here, especially if you want to cover both the upper and lower circuits or take a boat ride under the falls.
-
Optional Day 3: Add a day if you want a slower pace or extra activities like visiting the Iguazu National Park, Bird Park (on the Brazilian side), or Itaipu Dam, one of the largest hydroelectric plants in the world.
With two to three days, you’ll get to experience the falls in full and have some flexibility for additional activities!
